TESA® Tamperproof Security Seal

tesa® 64007 adhesive tape is a tamper-evident sealing solution designed for cardboard boxes. When the tape is removed, it leaves the message ‘OPEN’ (in several languages) visible on the surface of the packaging, or causes the cardboard fibres to tear completely, preventing discreet reopening and reuse. Available in yellow and blue, it significantly reduces theft during transport and storage and can be applied both manually and with braking machines.

TESA® Tamperproof Security Seal 64007 is primarily used on packaging where the integrity of the contents is critical, as it acts as a passive indicator of unauthorised tampering.

Electronic products: Sealing boxes containing mobile devices, computers, electronic components or high-value accessories.
Designer clothing and fashion: Sealing shipments of exclusive garments, accessories or limited collections.
Tobacco products: Sealing cigarette boxes, premium cigars or high-end tobacco.
Confidential documents: Use in envelopes, archive boxes or containers with contracts, financial reports, medical records or sensitive data.
General logistics and storage: Ideal for palletising valuable goods, international shipments or long-term storage; compatible with automated processes in production lines or large warehouses.
Other industries: Pharmaceuticals (controlled medicine packages), jewellery or sensitive industrial components.

Support material: Bioriented polypropylene (BOPP).
Adhesive type: Water-based acrylic (environmentally friendly and high performance).
Total thickness: 62 µm (yellow version); 66 µm (blue version).
Elongation at break: 150%. Tensile strength: 42 N/cm.
Adhesion to steel: 2.8 N/cm.
Colours available: Yellow and blue.
Application: Manual (yes); automatic (yes, compatible with dispensers and machines with brakes).
Tamper-evident effect: Dual – leaves ‘OPEN’ message visible even after reopening or complete tearing of the cardboard fibre. (It is advisable to test it on the cardboard box first.)
