To ensure an effective and durable seal, follow these simple steps:
- Surface Preparation: Carefully clean the surface where the tape will be applied with isopropyl alcohol. Remove any traces of grease, dust or moisture to ensure maximum adhesion.
- Tape application: Slowly peel the liner off one end of the tape and adhere it firmly to the surface, applying even pressure along the entire length. Use a roller or soft spatula to ensure good adhesion and remove any air bubbles.
- Liner removal: Once the tape has been applied, carefully remove the liner, exposing the abrasion resistant ionomeric backing.
- Adhesion promoters: To improve adhesion on specific surfaces, such as metals or glass, use our adhesion promoters tesa® 60153 and tesa® 60151, respectively.
