Electromagnetic Protection Adhesive Tapes

They are designed for sensitive applications in the automotive, electronics, telecommunications and medical device industries, where both strong adhesion and stable conductivity are required.



Applications of Electromagnetic Protection Adhesive Tapes
These tapes are mainly used to earth electronic components cleanly and reliably. The most common uses include:
- Grounding of flexible printed circuits (FPCs).
- Earthing of antennas and camera modules.
- Shielding and earthing in telecommunications equipment.
- Applications in automotive electronics where stable conductivity is required even under conditions of heat and humidity.
- Assembly of components that require both mechanical fastening and electrical continuity.
- Conversion and die-cutting work for bespoke parts on production lines.
Non-woven backing is particularly suitable for applications where the tape needs to conform to uneven surfaces or small areas. Woven backing is preferred when the part is likely to be handled or requires greater tear resistance during the process.

Differences between the references
The 60371, 60372 and 60374 use a non-woven backing. They are thinner, adapt better to uneven surfaces, absorb moisture more quickly and are easier to die-cut. They offer the best conductivity in the range (lower resistance values) and greater protective effectiveness. The difference between them is essentially their thickness: the thicker the product, the greater its ability to fill small gaps and the slightly higher its final adhesive strength.
The 60252, 60253, 60524 and 60255 have a woven backing. They offer greater tear resistance, dimensional stability and the ability to be repositioned. They are generally slightly thicker and have very good conductivity, although this does not quite match the values of the non-woven series. They are chosen when greater mechanical strength is required or when the assembly process involves more demanding handling.
